Newborn Ribbon Hat

First, I would like to leave a little disclaimer.

I am NOT by any means a superstar crochet artist. I do not claim to be some uber-talented pattern maker-upper.

Hook: I (5.50)
Terms: 
CH: Chain
SC: Single Crochet
DC: Double Crochet
TR: Triple Crochet
sl st: Slip Stitch

CH 2 

Rnd 1: DC 12 in begining CH. join with a sl st to the top of beginning DC (12sts)

Rnd 2: DC 2 in each DC stitch around (24)

Rnd 3: *DC 2 in first st, DC in next 2 sts* repeat from *to* around

Rnd 4: *DC 2 in first st, DC in next 3 sts* repeat from *to* around

Rnd 5: *DC 2 in first st, DC in next 4 sts* repeat from *to* around

Rnd 6: *DC 2 in first st, DC in next 5 sts* repeat from *to* around

Rnd 7: DC around

Rnd 8: TR around (this is where the ribbon will go)

Rnd 9: SC around

Rnd 10: sl st around

Weave in your choice of ribbon in the 8th round.

Patterns To Come

Newborn Ribbon Hat

This cute hat is NB size. Pink with a Brown spotted bow. It's a really easy pattern. Plus, it only took me about an hour or less to create.


Newborn Football Cocoon


Hook: Size I (5.50)

Terms
CH: Chain
sl st: Slip Stitch
SC: Single Crochet
DC: Double Crochet (US)

Hat:
CH 2

Rnd 1: DC 12 in begining CH. join with a sl st to the top of beginning DC (12sts)

Rnd 2: DC 2 in each DC stitch around (24)

Rnd 3: *DC 2 in first st, DC in next 2 sts* repeat from *to* around

Rnd 4: *DC 2 in first st, DC in next 3 sts* repeat from *to* around

Rnd 5: *DC 2 in first st, DC in next 4 sts* repeat from *to* around

Rnd 6-7: DC around.

Rnd 8: Change to white, join with a sl st. DC around

Rnd 9: Change to brown, join with a sl st. SC around.

Rnd 10: Sl st around.

Finish off. Weave in loose ends.

Cocoon:


CH 2

Rnd 1: DC 12 in begining CH. join with a sl st to the top of beginning DC (12sts)

Rnd 2: DC 2 in each DC stitch around (24)

Rnd 3: *DC 2 in first st, DC in next 2 sts* repeat from *to* around

Rnd 4: *DC 2 in first st, DC in next 3 sts* repeat from *to* around

Rnd 5: *DC 2 in first st, DC in next 4 sts* repeat from *to* around

Rnd 6: *DC 2 in first st, DC in next 5 sts* repeat from *to* around

Rnd 7: *DC 2 in first st, DC in next 6 sts* reapeat from *to* around

Rnd 8-9: DC around 

Change to white yarn. Join with a sl st.

Rnd 10-11: DC around.

Change back to brown yarn. Join with a sl st.

Rnd 12 and beyond(or to desired length): DC around.

To finish: 
After your last DC round, finish the last round in slip stitches and finish off, weaving in loose ends.
